Easy recipe to surprise visiting Japanese friend

A friend of mine from Japan is coming to visit me soon and I want to surprise her by having made a Japanese dish, snack, anything she'll like when she gets here.

Any recommendations?

Should be something that I can make a while in advance, i. e. can be eaten cold, since I have to pick her up from the airport and don't know how long it'll be till we get to my place.

Also it shouldn't be too hard to prepare, I'm not a master chef but I manage
