Stocking Pantry: Shelf stable, Japanese food for emergency
Besides some obvious pantry items, what would one stock in a pantry in Japan to keep on hand in case of emergencies, or just to have to whip up a quick dinner in pinch. I am talking beyond seasonings and instant noodles. Example: basic American may keep cans of tuna, peanut butter, beans... Also, while I am asking, is it more common for people in Japan to do daily shopping or is stocking up for a week more common? I see so many videos about Japanese restaurants and stores like Lawson & 7-11, but outside of that. Thank you.
