Is there a preferred way to thaw frozen shokupan?
I got some frozen shokupan (like half a loaf, sliced into 6 thick slices) from my local Japanese market and I want to use it for tamago sandos. I know some people say to throw it in the toaster, but I’m worried that will mess up the texture for my sandwiches. I tried it before when I made homemade shokupan and it was ok-ish, but that could have been my freezing it poorly or something. Thoughts?
