Takoyaki Substitute

Hello! Where I live octopus is kind of expensive, so I'd like to make takoyaki with substitutions. I've been watching some videos but have seen commenters say it's not called takoyaki unless it has octopus (I understand the direct translation).

How would I call takoyaki then if there is no octopus in the recipe?
